Mrs Melissa Whiteman is the DPS school librarian. Our school library has recently purchased a range of quality texts to support quality teaching and learning across the school.
NSW Premiers Reading Challenge (PRC)
Congratulations to our students who are are participating in the Premier's Reading Challenge.
The challenge is open to kindergarten to Year 9 students throughout the state. It costs nothing to enter and is not a competition. For the younger students, it includes books read to or shared with a parent/caregiver/teacher.
‘The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. A challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely'.
There are copies of the lists for PRC books available and on display in the library. As well as book displays of PRC books.
PRC includes books read at home over the Christmas holidays until August this year.
